White Paper

A white paper is a professional precis that provides information about a specific subject. For TAHK purposes, a white paper presentation should highlight your skills and include any relevant information that will help us evaluate your application. Before we welcome you to join our mission, we would like to understand your true skills and the abilities you will contribute to advancing it.

What would you like to take from us?

How would this experience benefit you in your future endeavors?

It is a document published to showcase a specific topic, problem, or solution that is already available or to be available; it helps in decision-making. Here, you can choose your presentation platform; you can graphically represent your skills if that helps! Whatever suits you the best, just make sure to be yourself.

Be You!

a guide by TAHK HR Team

What to focus on while making a white paper presentation for TAHK?

  • What motivates you to work? We would like to learn more about you as an individual.

  • What are the skills you would like to showcase?

  • What would you like to learn with us, and what would you take to your future?

  • Any skills you would particularly like to work on and improvise?

  • If you had one superpower to save the world, what would it be?

DO's

  • Analyze the skills you have, what you have already developed, and what you want to improvise on.

  • Choose a platform that you are comfortable with; you can use PowerPoint, Word, etc., or you can also get creative and make it in a video format or even a graphical poster!

  • You can include charts, graphs, or flowcharts to make it interesting.

  • Keep slides uncluttered and let them be systematic.

  • Describe your experience in detail. For instance, if you have previous experience managing events, describe the event's context. Then, you can describe the challenges you faced during the event and how you overcame them. You could also include the length of the event and your involvement in it as background information. Finish it with the skills you learned.

  • Adding on how you developed a particular skill is a plus point.

  • You can add why you want to work with us and how it is going to benefit you.

  • It doesn't have to be given in a white paper; it can be any color if you like!

Don’ts

  • Using AI without mind, so share the prompt with us, not the outcome

  • Know about us, but don't write an essay on what we do in your white paper; instead, you could tell us what you like about us and what you would like to work on.

  • Keep it natural. Don’t try to advertise a product or service.

  • Don't just start the white paper without introducing yourself and giving a brief about yourself.

  • Don't just add words or short forms that you do not know.

  • Don’t make unrealistic claims, especially if you don’t have evidence.

  • Don’t be afraid to ask for help, be genuine.

  • Don't just add on the skills that you think will be required for the job role here, but also add the ones that you have other than the job role here.

  • Don’t write it as an essay or keep it very long. Short and crisp is preferred.

Most importantly, Be You!
